Product Description

The Protomelas insignis is an amazing and colorful African Cichlid from Lake Malawi.  The males have a wonderful yellow and blue pattern while the females remain silver with black horizonal stripes as they mature.  In the wild, these fish typically feed on eggs that they steal from pairs of spawning cichlids. They are quick and very smart!
